For existing working professionals with a background in film production and the desire to move into the growing Virtual Production industry, this focused and intensive 2 day training programme is designed to provide producers and other production professionals with a high level understanding of Virtual Production, and the nuances involved with a producing role in this new industry. Students can expect to gain the confidence and know-how to schedule, budget and lead a successful Virtual Production shoot.
Led by our in-house tutors with a portfolio of industry work spanning years of knowledge in Virtual Production, the course covers the logistical side of finances and budgeting to ensure cost effective productions, scheduling and workflows. Taught using a mix of both Volume-based group activities and classroom learning, students also benefit from masterclasses by leading industry experts where tips and tricks are divulged and students can see first hand what Virtual Production can bring to a shoot. Our 2022 Summer School course featured speakers from Epic Games and LA-based Territory Studios.
At the end of the course, students are given the opportunity to pitchy their own ideas for a shoot, feeding in from their own producing experiences and using the new skills acquired at MARS Academy.
